a more than excellent sampling of Batman’s rogues gallery done by none other than Mike Mignola himself.
a most excellent combination of two of my loves. Mike Mignola and Batman. I just love his inking style.

birds with too many eyes by Marco Mazzoni.

Editorials by Victo Ngai

The artistic engine that we call Victo Ngai continues to power some of the most powerfully vibrant and electrically surreal art that’s not only scalding hot to the touch, but also capable of making you slow down and admire the clockwork mechanics underneath the hood. High quality giclee prints are available over at Victo’s website: victo-ngai

Favourite Comic Book Artists: Mike Allred

Groovy. Millard and Allred’s X-Force/X-Statix was one of the few Marvel series I read and enjoyed in many years.

Mike Allred is quite possibly my favorite comic artist of all time.

a sculpture that’s its own relfection made lovingly (I’m sure) by Takahiro Iwasaki.

really enjoying the places modern sculpture is going. there’s less of a “well I’m gonna be totally different SO THERE!” and more of a “well, what if I did it like this. what about that?” it’s almost like art finally stopped being so rude and realized that beautiful is okay too.

landscapes that make me want to go outside made by Eyvind Earle.

no seriously, these are probably the most fantastical…no, whimsical, landscapes I’ve probably ever seen. they make me want to curl up in the arms of a warm tree on a stretching plain. and I hate going outside.
